American Heart Association Recognizes FMC

Fairfield Medical Center was recently presented with two awards from the American Heart Association – The Get with the Guidelines® Heart Failure Silver Plus Quality Achievement Award and the 2016 Mission: Lifeline® Receiving Center Gold Plus award for STEMI care.

American Heart Association Recognizes Fairfield Medical CenterThe Silver Plus award recognizes FMC’s commitment and success in implementing a higher standard of care by ensuring that heart failure patients receive treatment according to nationally accepted standards and recommendations. This award is given to hospitals that maintain all achievement measures above 85 percent during a 12-month calendar year. Out of 1,089 hospitals to participate, only 80 hospitals qualified for the Silver Plus Award.

The Gold Plus award recognizes hospitals that achieved 85 percent or greater in an overall composite score for STEMI patients. The Plus distinction recognizes achievements of 75 percent or greater for patients transferred to FMC that have reached a score of 75 percent or greater. This is the second year in a row that FMC has received this award.

These awards would not be possible without the commitment of the entire organization, so in honor of this great achievement.
