McKesson Brings Comfort to Cancer Patients

The Cancer Resource Center recently partnered with the McKesson Foundation to provide "Giving Comfort" bags to cancer patients in need. The kit is packed with care by McKesson employee volunteers to show the community it's support for patients going through the diagnosis of cancer.

Items in the bag include, a handmade fleece blanket, handmade fleece scarf, hand-decorated box containing notes of encouragement, a journal, a deck of playing cards, a bag of personal hygiene products, a turban, fuzzy slipper socks and an inspirational book. These bags are given at no cost to any cancer patient going through their cancer journey, no matter where they are receiving cancer treatment. For questions or more information, contact Janice Novotni, Cancer Resource Center coordinator, at 740-277-6941.
