Lancaster Police Officer Ernie King was recognized by FMC on Friday, Jan. 26 for using a Project DAWN Narcan kit to save the life of a person who was experiencing an overdose.
Officer King received the kit back in 2017 upon completion of a Project DAWN community training session at FMC, which he attended on his own time.
Jack Janoso, FMC president & CEO; Helen Harding, Chief Nursing Officer; and Angela Snider, manager of the Emergency Department, presented Officer King with the hospital's first Rising DAWN award in recognition of this life-saving act.
Thank you, Officer King, for showing that Narcan can save lives in our community!
