Partners in Health and Fitness

Fairfield Medical Center and the Robert K. Fox Family YMCA are partnering to provide fitness services to the community in the new Fairfield Medical Center River Valley Campus. The new campus will be located adjacent to FMC’s River View Surgery Center on North Columbus Street in Lancaster.

“We are humbled that Fairfield Medical Center is collaborating with us to provide support for the community to embrace healthier lifestyles,” said Howard Long, CEO of the Robert K. Fox Family Y. “This is a wonderful opportunity for two longtime leaders in healthy living and prevention to partner and increase access to health and wellness programs.”

The YMCA will occupy and provide fitness services in a portion of the 95,000 sq. ft. campus. Its range of fitness services and features in the space will include, but are not limited to, a gymnasium, exercise machines, dedicated rooms for fitness classes, a walking track and locker rooms. Members will be able to utilize both the River Valley Campus location and the Robert K. Fox Family YMCA in Lancaster.

“We are very proud and excited to continue our partnership with the YMCA,” said John R. “Jack” Janoso, Jr., Fairfield Medical Center’s President & CEO “Our missions are aligned as we are both dedicated and committed to building a healthier and stronger community. This collaboration will enable us to focus on the whole person and encourage patients and community members to practice preventative wellness through the YMCA’s programs and services.”

In addition to the fitness services provided by the YMCA, the campus will offer a multitude of services that community members can access in one convenient location. Services will include an emergency room, orthopedics, physical therapy, warm water therapy pool, medically supervised fitness and state-of-art imaging.
